Review :
Kutrame Thandanai crime thriller drama film co written, photographed and directed by
M. Manikandan, starring Vidharth, Pooja Devariya and Aishwarya Rajesh in the leading roles.
Music composed by Ilayaraja
Story revolves around Ravi played by Vidharth, an employed lonely youngster, with an
uncommon vision impairment, which is deteriorating over time. He “happens” to see a
possible “murderer” as the scenes unfold in front of us — now the question in his mind is to
“tell” or “not to tell”. If he doesn’t tell, he has been offered some money with which he can
have his eye surgery done. Ravi working at a credit card payment collection center, staying in
a modest room in an apartment block, what would he do typically in that situation? — take it
up and proceed with the surgery, what else?
Manikandan, his co-writers and his own camera, tells us without much words or emotions or
hysterics. Vidharth renders an excellent performance. Pooja Devariya, and she fits the native
aptly. Aishwarya Rajesh has a very short stint but she does that in a breeze. Rahman was
good and so was Guru Somasundaram, who got a huge applause from the audience. The
music and background score by Ilayaraja was great and had set a great mood for the film.
Rating - 3.5/5
