Review :

'Nanbenda' directed by Jagadish. Udhayanidhi Stalin, Santhanam and Nayantara play the lead roles. 'Nanbenda' is being produced by Udhayanidhi under his home banner Red Giant with music by Harris Jayaraj, cinematography by Balasubramaniem and editing by Vivek Harshan.Tamannaah has done a cameo role as herself in the movie. Actress Sherin is also playing a crucial role in the movie.

The film revolves around two best friends, played by Sathya (Udhayanidhi) and Siva Kozhundhu (Santhanam). Sathya (Udhay) and Siva Kozhunthu (Santhanam) are close friends, as expected. Udhay falls head-over-heels in love with Ramya (Nayanthara), a bank employee the moment he sees her. Ramya has faced ten days imprisonment for a crime!  And when she narrates her past to Udhay, he finds it extremely funny and laughs out loud which hurts her sentiment and now they part way.

Now two dons in the city are introduced to us and at one point of time Sathya and Siva are arrested for the alleged murder of Scorpio Shankar (Rajendran). Now the rest of the film tells us how the friends escape from prison and solve the mystery.

Debutant director Jagadish tried his best to handle the story well. Udhayanidhi has improved a lot when compared to his first two heroic outings. Santhanam, as usual, lends solid support with his funny one-liners. Nayanthara is beautiful despite signs of ageing and performs well.The film’s music given by Harris Jayaraj is captivating and is visually appealing.
