In Kovalam, Inspector Natty, the protagonist, apprehends the minister's son's friends and has them imprisoned. Meanwhile, due to the Prime Minister's impending visit, Natty is assigned to security duty elsewhere, allowing the minister's son to remove his associates from the police station.
In a shocking turn of events, a mysterious individual hacks into the police station's laptop system, gaining control and issuing a chilling threat. The person claims that bombs have been planted inside and around the station, and that they will self-detonate if anyone attempts to exit the premises.
On the other hand, Arun Pandian arrives at the police station to file a complaint about his missing son. Meanwhile, a few police officers, including female sub-inspector Akshara Reddy, who has come to deliver her wedding invitation, and two prisoners get trapped inside the station. To make matters worse, Munar Ramesh, the station's clerk, discovers that the chair he's sitting on has a bomb planted underneath it.
The rest of the film "Right" unfolds with Arun Pandian's efforts to disarm the bomb. The thrilling narrative explores the bomber's identity and intentions, the outcome of Arun Pandian's attempt to defuse the bomb, and the fate of those trapped in the police station – will they escape with their lives?
Natty, the police inspector, shines as an upright and confident officer. Despite having limited screen time initially, he makes a powerful impact in the climax, cementing his presence in the film. His portrayal as a caring father figure resonates deeply with the audience.
Arun Pandian's seasoned performance brings his character to life. In a poignant moment, when he says, "All I know is that I have to save the lives of others in the police station," his emotional depth shines through, elevating the scene to a memorable one.
The cast, including Akshara Reddy as the sub-inspector, Munar Ravi as the constable, Vinodhini as the typist, Aditya Shivakumar and Yuvina as the young pair, Thangadurai as the prisoner, and the female police officer, delivers a fitting performance that complements the narrative, bringing the story to life.
The soundtrack and background score composed by Guna Balasubramanian elevate the film, while M. Padmesh's cinematography lends a visually stunning quality to the movie, further enriching the narrative.
Subramanian Ramesh Kumar's film tackles the sensitive topic of sexual crimes against women, a prevalent issue in contemporary society. The director masterfully weaves a suspenseful narrative that keeps viewers engaged and guessing about the perpetrator's identity until the very end.
