Review : 

Aandavan Kattalai comedy-drama film co written and directed by Kaaka Muttai fame
M. Manikandan co written with Arul Chezhiyan and Anucharan. The film features Vijay Sethupathi
and Ritika Singh in the lead roles and Pooja Devariya, Nassar and Yogi Babu in important
roles. Produced by G.N.Anbu Chezhiyan and featuring music by K.

Gandhi (Vijay Sethupathi) comes to Chennai to get passport and visa along with his friend
Pandi (Yogi Babu) to settle down in London so that they can clear their debts. However, they
only approach middlemen to get the tourist visa and provide fake names under the spouse
section. While Pandi successfully clears the visa process, Gandhi decides to settle down as
an accountant in a Koothu Pattarai run by an honest artsist (Nassar). In order to maintain
the Mr Clean image, Gandhi tries to take out the fake spouse name 'Karmega Kuzhali' and to
his luck he finds a journalist (Ritika Singh) with the same name. But will an unmarried girl
accept to provide documents to a total stranger?

Vijay Sethupathi is outstanding as Gandhi and he is able to bring out the characters shyness,
frustration and goodness in a subtle manner without going overboard. Ritvika Singh is
impressive as she works hard in a difficult role. Yogi Babu delivers a performance that is so
spectacular in every way. Each and every single character is sketched out beautifully, that
their depth is so convincing that you would not question their deeds at any point in the
story. The Cinematography of this movie is handled by N.Shanmuga Sundaram who has given some
wonderful visuals. He has done a great job for the movie. The director once again delivers
big time with a refreshing screenplay loaded with reality and fun, some great music,
delightful characters and brilliant all-round performances.
