In a village on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border, a girl under the age of 10 is brutally murdered. Police officer Thileepan, who is investigating the murder case, receives a tip.He is intensifying the investigation using that information.
Meanwhile, Anand Nag is settling down in his native home in Tamil Nadu with his wife and two children from London. While he is busy repairing the house, an old woman faints at the door.He brings her inside and puts her to bed to take rest . The village chief, who sees the old woman, warns Anand Nag by telling him a scary story about an old woman who looks just like her.
Anand Nag's annoy's the story about the village chief wat he says abt the old women On the other hand, his wife is terrified to learn that the old woman is the previous owner of their house, as well as another shocking piece of information about her. Similarly, police officer Dileepan also learns about the other side of the old woman and comes to Anand Nag's house in search of her. 'Granny' tells the events that happen after that, and who is that old woman?, in a way that takes you to the peak of fear.
We have seen grandmothers who tell stories to children and put them to sleep, But the film's director, Vijay Kumaran, has made an attempt to scare the audience by portraying a grandmother who is eager to hunt down the boys for her own needs.
Vadivukkarasi, who plays the role of the old woman Ochai, with extreme make-up.. Despite being let down at the beginning due to her frail age, the frenzy on her face in subsequent scenes terrifies the audience..Wherever she went, she would suddenly appear like lightning, and assume a cosmic form several feet taller than the person in front of her, Vadivukkarasi, who has been playing an action-packed game throughout the second half, has threatened through her acting and looks without speaking a single line.
Thileepan, who plays a police officer,
Singampuli plays the role of a police constable, and Gajraj plays the role of a village chief,Anand Nag plays the owner of the house, while Aparna plays role as his wife.
And child stars like Master Kanshyam and Baby Sandriya have all done their job well.
Cinematographer A. Manikandan's camera captures the terrifying events taking place inside the old house with a sense of suspense.
The songs and background score composed by composer Dr. Sellaiah Pandian bring the storyline and scenes to life.
M.S. Gopi's editing tells the story without any confusion and keeps the audience on the edge of their seats, keeping them guessing as to whether the children will escape.
Written and directed by Vijay Kumaran, the film centers on magical stories told to children.
He has told an interesting horror story and has terrorized the audience with an old woman in the background.
The shocking background of the old woman, the children in danger, the police officer who investigates
Has Director Vijay Kumaran skillfully handled a horror storyline with many compelling elements.
He has made it a film that everyone, from children to adults, will enjoy.
Overall, 'Granny' is not a grandmother who tells stories, but to make us Screem
