The film also starred Tamannaah as the female lead with ‘Ilaya Thilagam’ Prabhu, Akashdeep Saigal, Jagan, Karunaas in pivotal roles. Harris Jayaraj’s songs proved to be another great addition to the film and went on to become chartbusters. Apart from the stellar cast, amazing scenes and chartbusters songs, ‘Ayan’ also holds the record for being the solo blockbuster of 2009 in Tamil cinema, with humongous box office collections. The film was shot in exotic locations like Kuala Lumpur, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Malaysia, Zanzibar and South Africa.
