‘Vellakaara Rani’ is a tribute to my teacher - says vadivel

Following the hit dance numbers ‘Vaala meenukkum’, ‘kathazha kannala’ songs Director Mysskin penning  yet an another song with a yellow saree lady shaking legs for the song ‘ Vellakaara Rani’ in the movie ‘Kallappadam’ directed by his  former assistant J Vadivel. The film is revolving around four youngsters who struggles to make it big in the celluloid industry. The thriller film is slated to release on March 20.

 “Mysskin sir have told that his films wouldn’t bear songs anymore. Thus I wanted to make this song as a tribute to his music and writing. So I made this song to be as similar as the songs similar to his earlier songs.”

“This whole song sequence comes as a shooting spot scene in the film. We wanted it to be like a Mysskin sir shooting spot. Producer Anand was impressed with this idea. We requested Mysskin sir to pen this song and also thought it will be nice if he could lend his voice. With all his good will he sang the song for us.” Says the new age director J Vadivel.
