Finally Confirm Kaththi Release Worlwide from Tomorrow

Kaththi directed by A R Murugadoss and starring actor Vijay, courted controversy after it was made known that it was produced by Ayngaran International and co-produced by Lyca.

It is alleged that Lyca has close nexus with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.  While the film was being slated for festival release, several Tamil outfits came out in protest, stating that the movie hurt Tamil sentiments with its anti-Tamil producers.

Late last night, Ayngaran International held a meeting with Tamil outfits and it was reported that the movie would release as per its scheduled date. Following this, theatres opened ticket bookings.

Police sources confirmed that tight police patrolling has been provided at the theatres, with around 25 personnel on bandobast. The movies theatres are also said to be functioning.
