'Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom' has Pizza fame Vijay Sethupathi and Gayathri in lead roles, besides Bhagavathi Perumal, Rajkumar and Vigneshwaran, who play supporting roles.

Storyline :

The film mainly revolves around four key characters Prem Kumar (played by Vijay Sethupathi), Baks (Bhagavathi Perumal), Balaji (Rajkumar) and Saras (Vigneshwaran). Prem Kumar is a guy who is about to marry his girlfriend on the 28th of March 2007.  The four guys meet up in a friend’s place and plan to play cricket for a while. This happens two days before the wedding date  (26-11-12). While playing Premkumar picks up a head injury while attempting for a catch.

His friends taken him to the nearby hospital and there the doctors inform that Prem has lost the memories of all the things which have happened in the past one year. From here the film gets interesting and begin to engage the audience. What Prem’s friends do to make him recollect his memory and how they manage to get him married, forms the interesting second half.

Review :

Director Balaji Tharaneentharan needs appreciation for enlarging such a simple incident into a full length film. The director has stuck to the four main characters played by Vijay Sethupathi, Bhagavathi Perumal, Rajkumar and Vigneshwaran , to deliver humor , and we must say the four have done it.
Siddharth Vipin’s   background score has complemented the screenplay well.

On the negative side, the film lacks a bit of logic. For instance the reason behind Premkumar accepting too marry Dhanalakshmi on his friend’s advice seems to be too unnatural and is not funny too.
Since, we become familiar to the fact that there is no more twist in the tale other than the accident, the screenplay falls flat at times where the comedies doesn’t workout well.

Rating :  4 / 5

Verdict : NKPK is a book with missing logic, but still manages to interest the reader.
