It is well known that Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat, and Karunakaran shine as both character actors and comedians. However, even Gajaraj—who has previously garnered attention primarily as a character actor—makes the audience roar with laughter by seizing the comedic opportunities that come his way.

Just as in the first part, Karunas maintains a stiff, authoritative demeanor—preaching about male honor and the importance of keeping women under control—yet the unexpected situations he finds himself in leave the audience laughing to the point of tears.

Moksha, who plays a teacher, appears alongside Cheevelesh Jack; while one might expect her character to trigger a major plot twist, she simply makes a dignified appearance and exits without unnecessary drama—a choice that works to the film's advantage.

Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu, appearing in special roles, deliver satisfying performances and provide plenty of laughs, despite their limited screen time at the end.

Cinematographer K.M. Bhaskar has captured the visuals with high quality and vibrant color, effectively conveying the screenplay's lively spirit and joyful atmosphere to the audience. Among Sean Roldan’s compositions, the "Sambavakkari" track is catchy enough to have viewers humming along, while the father-daughter song is a soothing melody that touches the heart. Editor Bharath Vikraman’s work is also flawless.

Although it is a sequel to the first film, director Chella Ayyavu has crafted a screenplay featuring even more comedy and scenes that highlight the importance of women, delivering an entertaining movie that families can enjoy together. Director Chella Ayyavu has achieved great success in delivering a wholesome entertainer that families will cherish; while the film keeps the audience laughing for two and a half hours, it also addresses the occasional differences of opinion between a husband and wife—and the consequences of failing to handle them properly—conveying these insights through humorous domestic antics rather than preachy advice, thereby prompting both laughter and reflection.

Verdict : Gatta Kusthi 2 Pakka Family Entertainer.
Rating: 5/5
