RaajKamal Films International (RKFI) today commenced the inaugural shoot of its highly anticipated new production, 'DHARMAN', starring Superstar Rajinikanth. The film's title and first look were unveiled today, offering eager audiences their first glimpse into one of Indian cinema’s most anticipated events in recent years.

Few friendships in world cinema have endured as long, or remained as beloved, as that of Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth. After more than five decades at the forefront of Indian cinema, the two icons come together for the first time in a producer-actor collaboration through 'DHARMAN'. Produced under the banner of RaajKamal Films International by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, the film also marks Superstar Rajinikanth's first appearance in an RKFI production, making it a proud moment in the 46-year journey of one of Indian cinema’s most iconic studios.

The film is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, who has emerged as a distinctive voice in contemporary Indian cinema and is widely regarded as one of the industry's most exciting young directors.

Joining Superstar Rajinikanth on screen are Simran, one of the most celebrated artists in South Indian cinema, and Raashii Khanna, a versatile performer acclaimed for her work across Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.

The film boasts an exceptional creative team, with music composed by global sensation Anirudh Ravichander. Action choreography will be handled by the National Award-winning duo Anbariv, renowned for crafting some of Indian cinema's most memorable action sequences. The film's visual world will be captured by cinematographer Niketh Bommireddy, with Karthik Rajkumar serving as Production Designer. Pradeep E. Ragav joins as Editor, while Annadurai serves as Art Director and Co-produced by Disney.

Principal photography commenced today in Chennai with the film's inaugural shoot ceremony attended by the cast, crew, production team and distinguished guests.

The launch event was graced by the presence of several eminent members of the film fraternity and industry leaders, including Mr. Kalaipuli S. Dhanu, Mr. Anbuchezhian, Mr. R.K. Selva Mani, Mr. Lingusamy, Mr. Kannan (CTO, Sun Network), Mr. Shenbagamoorthi, Mr. Tamil Kumaran, Mr. Krishnan Kutty (JIO Star), Mr. Balachandran (JIO Star), Mr. Pradeep Milroy Peter (JIO Star), Mr. Anand (Saregama) and Mr. Saravanan Vinoth, making the occasion a memorable celebration of cinema and collaboration.
