Leo Sivakumar and Ariyan, who are Parai drummers, run a music group called Aadhiparai. They are also engaged in teaching the dying art of Parai drumming to others, striving to preserve and promote this art form and make its greatness known to the world. However, they face problems from some people who look down not only on the Parai music but also on the musicians themselves. Did they overcome these challenges and achieve their goals? That's what 'Maanbumigu Parai' is all about.
Leo Sivakumar, who plays the lead role, portrays the character of Vetri, and he convincingly portray a Parai drummer. emotional expression and movement while playing the drums perform well.
Ariyan, who plays Leo Sivakumar's friend, delivers emotional dialogues and dances alongside the hero, strongly established his identity as a Parai drummer.
Gayathri Rema, who plays the female lead, has added strength to her character with her emotional performance.
The other actors, including Gajaraj, Ashok Raja, Cheranraj, Kadhal Sukumar, Jayakumar, Pon Suresh, and Aranga Gunaseelan, have performed to the best of their abilities, following the director's instructions.
While all the songs composed by Deva are foot-tapping, also conveyed the power of Parai music. The background score is also plus.
Cinematographer R. Kolanji Kumar's camera has beautifully captured the rural landscape.
Editor C.S. Premkumar's editing is sequential and adds excitement to the film. Writer and director S. Vijay Sukumar has attempted to powerfully portray the glory of the Parai music and those who play this instrument are marginalized, the film's focus on caste issues and honor killings in most of its scenes it's the impact of the Parai music is resonating with audience.
