Writer, producer, and director Vijayasekaran S. deserves praise for bravely addressing a sensitive and socially relevant issue— the exploitation of women for monetary gain. With a sincere and thought-provoking narrative, the film highlights a disturbing reality: the abuse of female corpses in mortuaries, where shocking acts are filmed and circulated online. The director handles this subject with care, aiming to create awareness and provoke reflection.
Swasthika delivers a compelling performance as an aspiring medical student who uncovers the horrifying truths within the mortuary. Her character’s courage, compassion, and determination to bring justice to the victims stand out. She portrays the role with both emotional depth and intensity, offering a strong central performance that anchors the film.
The cinematography is another notable strength, beautifully capturing the serene landscapes of the Ghats and providing a stark contrast to the film’s darker themes. The dialogues are impactful, often carrying the emotional and moral weight of the narrative with sensitivity and clarity.
While the supporting cast presents mixed results—with Vela Ramamurthy’s police officer role feeling well Mottai Rajendran’s antagonist character not affected the film’s sincere intention and bold approach.
Despite some predictable plot points, the film stands as a courageous attempt to spotlight an often-ignored issue. Vijayasekaran S.’s commitment to telling meaningful stories is evident throughout, and his effort to raise awareness through cinema is laudable.
Overall, this film is a valuable watch for its heartfelt message, strong lead performance, and genuine effort to spark conversation around an important social issue.
The movie says be alert-walls also has eyes as hidden cameras.
