Kalyarasaan and Priyalaya, a couple who fell in love and got married, run a YouTube channel called Arjunmeera. They're living comfortably with a big bungalow and a car, thanks to the income from their YouTube channel. However, one day, their channel gets deleted, and they're left without a steady income. They get into debt and struggle to make ends meet.

Just when they're at their lowest, a mysterious person contacts them and claims to be organizing a reality show. The person tells them that if they participate and win, they'll get a prize of 2 crores. The catch is that they have to play the game in the privacy of their own home for 7 days, without telling anyone about it. The game involves tasks that will test their relationship, and the prize money will increase if they win.

The couple decides to play along, and they easily win the first two rounds. They decide to continue playing, and the game gets intense. Will Kalyarasaan and Priyalaya win the game and get the 2 crores? Will they be able to overcome their debt problems?

The rest of the story revolves around these questions. Kalyarasaan shines as the hero, delivering a natural performance that showcases his range. Priyalaya does justice to her role as the heroine, looking stunning and delivering a solid performance. The supporting cast, including Prem Besant Nagar Ravi, Vidya Venkatesh, and Shivanya, fit perfectly into their roles.

The music by Sam CS is a major highlight, with catchy songs and background scores that elevate the film. Praveen Balu's cinematography is impressive, capturing the events in a single house with ease. Director Sivraj has crafted a unique story around a game that tests the relationship between a husband and wife.

Overall, "Trending" is a gripping thriller that explores the complexities of relationships and the consequences of playing games with high stakes.
