Bollywood Star Aparshakti Khurana Makes His Tamil Debut in This High-Concept Crime Thriller

 

Verus Productions is thrilled to announce the launch of its next ambitious project titled ‘ROOT – Running Out of Time’, a Sci-Fi Crime Thriller directed by Sooriyaprathap S, acclaimed for his creative vision in Naalaiya Iyakkunar – Season 1 and his contribution as Associate Director on Kochadaiiyaan, starring Superstar Rajinikanth.

Leading the film is Gautham Ram Karthik, celebrated for his knack in picking unique, performance-driven roles. Starring alongside him is Bollywood actor Aparshakti Khurana, a versatile and multifaceted talent known for delivering one of the biggest films in Hindi cinema, Stree 2. Aparshakti Khurana who marks his Tamil cinema debut with this project. His involvement has already set high expectations across industries, thanks to his impressive performances in Hindi films and now, his bold step into South Indian cinema.

The project was officially launched with a traditional pooja ceremony held today in Chennai, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for the team. Actress Bhavya Trikha plays the female lead opposite Gautham Ram Karthik.

Produced by Dhanishtan Fernando, Rajarajan Gananasambandam, Sanjai Shankar, and Shaik Mujeeb under the Verus Productions banner, ROOT is a fresh attempt at blending emotional depth with science fiction and crime thriller narrative.
