Nerkonda Paarvai Movie Review And Rating

Three girls (Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam & Andrea Tariang) get into trouble with few devil-may-care guys over a night time. The guys get bashed down by these girls when they try to take physical advantage on them and with strong influence, they hard-press these girls with false accusations before the law. Just when the lives of these girls have almost fainted to end, the ray of hope comes through a retired lawyer (Ajith Kumar), who has been witnessing the unbearable pain of these innocent girls imposed by satanic scoundrels.

Thala Ajith delivers sheer goosebumps moments for his fans, as he excels in both mass and class episodes. Be it the anger-filled moments as he explodes or be it the subtle act with the unique modulation in dialogue delivery, the man excels and has a stunning screen presence. Shraddha Srinath delivers an intense and emotional performance as her act conveys the anger and pain of Meera. Abhirami and Andrea are good and emote well, while the baddies Arjun Chidambaram, Aswin Rao and Sujith Shankar are aptly cast. The rest of the cast including Vidya Balan, Rangaraj pandey, Aadhik Ravichandran and Delhi Ganesh are adequate.

Yuvan Shankar Raja's background score is scintillating and of his songs, Vaanil Irul and Agalathey are hum worthy. Cinematography by Nirav Shah is impressive capturing the court episodes and the action blocks effectively. Editing by Gokul Chandran is taut and keeps the movie engaging.

Rating - 4.5/5
