Dengue Awareness Rally By Velammal

Considering the rise in the number of victims due to dengue and help create a Dengue Free Chennai, Velammal initiated DENGUE AWARENESS RALLY, a rally covering a distance of 2 kms from Thirumangalam to Velammal School (Mogappair Campus) on 10.10.2017 (Today). This rally was flagged off by Mr.Eswaran, Deputy Commissioner, Traffic West Range, Chennai.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS.

• Students raised slogans and carried placards on the topic. 

• Dengue Awareness leaflets were distributed to the students. 

• A few students were dressed up as Yamadharma Raja, Doctors and nurses in the rally.

• Students performed a skit and mime as part of the initiative.

• The school had also taken measures to educate the students on the preventive measures  to FIGHT DENGUE through various activities and video shows. 

• Dengue Awareness pamphlets were distributed to all the students. 

• Students and staff members emphasize every day on the ill - effects of Dengue during the morning assembly.
