Review : 

Naan Thaan Shabana action spy-thriller film directed by Shivam Nair and produced by Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia under the Friday Filmworks banner. It is a spin-off prequel to the 2015 film Baby with Taapsee Pannu reprising her role as Shabana. Other cast includes Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee, Anupam Kher and Prithviraj Sukumaran play important supporting roles in the film.The film is dubbed into Tamil and Telugu languages

Two Indian agents get killed in Austria by an arms and trafficking kingpin Mikhail. In the meanwhile, in India, Shabana (Taapsee) is a college student and a Kudo player. While on a date with her lover Jay (Taher Shabbir), Shabana undergoes an eve-teasing incident that ends up in the death of Jay by the eve-teasers. Shabana is hot headed, has a deadly past and now with the death of her innocent boyfriend is even more wounded.

At this opportune moment, an Indian agency of secret agents contacts her, offering help in nabbing Jay’s killers in exchange of her service to the country. Not having faith in the legal system, Shabana gives a nod to them. Succeeding at her first task in eliminating Jay’s killers, she is soon sent out for another mission involving Tony (Prithviraj Sukumaran). Working with the best, Ajay (Akshay Kumar) and Shukla (Anupam Kher), will she succeed in wiping out Tony?

Malayalam superstar Prithiviraj plays the cool super villain. Akshay Kumar kicks some butt and raises a few laughs as well. The film, however, belongs to Taapsee, who essays her role with complete conviction. She's good both as an angry collegian who wants justice at any cost and as a trainee who knows she's said yes to something she isn't totally prepared for. Her action scenes are nicely choreogrpahed and she's confident doing them.
