Yuvan Shankar Raja To Launch Teaser Of Kanavu Variyam

Music Director Yuvan Shankar Raja will launch the Teaser of Award winning commercial entertainer Kanavu Variyam on Friday, February, 3rd 2017.  

We are delighted that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be launching the Teaser of Kanavu Variyam. The film has travelled to 9 different countries, won 15 International Honours and 7 International Awards and the First Indian film to win 2 Remi Awards. We are thankful to Yuvan for his kind gesture and support. Yuvan launching our teaser is great news for the team said Director Arun Chidambaram.

‘Kanavu Variyam’ is the 1st Tamil and South Indian film Warner Bros. Pictures will be distributing pan India. 

Produced by DCKAP Cinemas ‘Kanavu Variyam’, a commercial entertainer based on power-cuts in villages across Tamil Nadu has won 7 International awards and 15 International honors from 9 countries. ‘Kanavu Variyam’ is the first Indian film to win two prestigious Remi Awards. Previous recipients of Remi award include Steven Spielberg (Jurassic Park), Ang Lee (Life of Pi), Ridley Scott (The Gladiator), George Lucas (Star Wars), Francis Ford Coppola (The GodFather).  Arun Chidambaram also becomes the first Indian Director to win 2 Remi awards.

Apart from playing the lead role and directing the movie, Arun has written the Story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Lyrics for ‘Kanavu Variyam’. 

Arun Chidambaram, Writer and Director of the movie 'Kanavu Variyam', completed his Masters in USA and worked for JP Morgan Chase in Chicago. Arun quit his lucrative job in United States and returned to Chennai, India to pursue his dream and passion in Cinema. Arun Chidambaram has also won personal accolades from the former President of India Dr.APJ.Abdul Kalam. 

Arun, is the son of 'Aanazhagan' Dr.A.Chidambaram, an Indian Sportsman, US trained Physical Culturist and a pioneer in the field of Physical Culture in Southern India for more than 4 decades. Dr.A.Chidambaram has been the personal health adviser for several VIP's in Tamil Nadu including former Chief Minister Dr.MGR and several others. 

Jiya (Introducing) plays the heroine. Other star cast include Ilavarasu, Black Pandy, Prof.Ku.Gnanasambandan, Yog Japee and Sendhi Kumari. Music is by Shyam Benjamin, Cinematography is by S.Selvakumar and Editing is by Gaugin.
