Review : 

Kodi written and directed by R. S. Durai Senthilkumar and produced by Vetrimaaran under his banner Grass Root Film Company. The film stars Dhanush, Trisha and Anupama Parameswaran, along with S. A. Chandrasekhar and Saranya Ponvannan. The film's music and background score were be composed by Santhosh Narayanan, the cinematography is performed by Venkatesh S.

Anbu (Dhanush) & Kodi(Dhanush) are Twins who choose different paths. While Anbu leads the life of a College Professor, Kodi continues his Father's Legacy as a Politician and falls in love with a ruling party leader Rudra (Trisha) though he belongs to Opposition Party. Twist in the tale comes in the form of election in which Kodi & Rudra are fielded against each other by their parties. It was then Kodi gets killed. In such a situation, Anbu gets into the shoes of Kodi to chase the mystery behind his Brother's death. In the process, He also achieves the political goal set by Kodi.

Dhanush has proved his mettle as an actor on many occasions. 'Kodi' will be a special movie in his career as he has done a dual role for the first time. Trisha Krishnan manages to strike a chord as a ruthless and pragmatic politician. Anupama Parameswaran has done a fine job. Saranya Ponvannan delivers superb performance as lovable mother. Karunas in the role of cameo, did outstanding job. S A Chandrasekaran as a politician performed well. Cinematography by Venkatesh is superb. The background score and the title track, composed by Santhosh Narayanan is good. Director Durai Senthil Kumar Story & Screenplay the major strengths of 'Kodi'.
