Review :
Iraivi directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Thirukumaran Entertainment.
SJ Suryah and Bobby Simha. Anjali, Pooja Devariya and Kamalinee Mukherjee are the female leads, while Karunakaran, Radharavi, Vadivukkarasi, Kaali Venkat and others are in the supporting cast. It has Sivakumar Vijayan's cinematography department and Vivek Harshan's editing. Music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
Yazhini (Kamalinee Mukherjee) sufferer by her Alcoholic husband Arul (SJ Surya) is a film director. He addicted to alcohol after his movie went unreleased due to rift with the Producer. His younger brother Jagan (Bobby Simha). Michael (Vijay Sethupathi) works for the brothers in their sculpt shop and is treated like a member of their family. Michael imposed to marry Ponni (Anjali) and feels passionate to her but still he is in love with Malar (Pooja Devarya) widowed independent young girl. All three men forced to do crimes by their situations and lead to Unexpected events.
SJ Suryah, surely proves his mettle as an actor and gets his travel ticket into this world of greasepaint confirmed. Vijay Sethupathi is riveting as Michael and Bobby Simha is adequate. Every female in the tale, from the important characters like Anjali, Kamalini Mukherjee, Pooja Devariya to the ones that pass by in just one frame emote well. Radha Ravi, Karunakaran, Vadivukarasi might not evidently enjoy importance but they fill the space given to them well to give this piece the completeness it demands. Sivakumar Vijayan's visuals convey several hidden layers and genuinely capture the mood of the characters with ease. Music by Santhosh Narayanan is just ok but he scores with the BGM that it takes the film to a different level.
Rating - 3.5/5
