Review : 

Vetrivel written and directed by Vasantha Mani and produced by R.Ravindran. The film 

features M. Sasikumar and Miya George in the lead roles and Prabhu, Viji Chandrasekar, 

Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, and Renuka amongst others. Samuthirakani makes a guest 

appearance as well. The film's music will be composed by D. Imman and the 

cinematography is handled by S. R. Kathir. A.L Ramesh handled the editing part of the 

movie. Lyca Productions will be distributing the movie.

A young boy will fall in love with the daughter of a village head called Janani and he 

wants to marry her but he faces lot of troubles to marry her as the village head and 

the parents of the girl are opposed the marriage. Vetrivel (Sasikumar) will take the 

responsibility of his marriage and strives to convince the parents and to unite the 

couple. Then the remaining story revolves around how he tried to unite them. Will the 

couple get married or not? 

Sasi Kumar has once again proved that he is a natural actor. He does emote well giving 

strength to his role. Miya George has nothing much to do in terms of acting and appears 

on the screen to fulfil, Prabhu and Viji have given an admirable performance. Others 

like Ilavarasu, Renuka and Thambi Ramaiah lend their support. Technically, Kathir’s 

camera captures rural beauty of Tanjore and Imman’s background score warrants mention. 

Vetrivel is completely different and the screenplay has been decent. It should have

been taken extra care of and the dialogues.
