Review : 

An official remake of a Hindi film titled Jolly LLB, Manithan is directed by I Ahmed. Starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hansika Motwani and Prakash Raj in the leading roles. Aishwarya Rajesh, Radharavi, Vivek, Sathish, Angana Roy, Power star Srinivasan and others form the rest of the cast. Manithan is directed by I. Ahmed and is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. Dialogues are written by Ajayan Bala. Santhosh Narayanan gave the music to the film. R. Madhi did the work of cinematography of the film.

The story of an unsuccessful young lawyer named Sakthi (Udhayanidhi) who lands up in Chennai to prove to his moraiponnu (uncle’s daughter played by Hansika) and her family that he is worthy. Trying to earn their respect, he desperately tries to snag a case and win. During this time, he runs into Adiseshan (Prakash Raj) who is an unbeatable Supreme Court lawyer. Sakthi watches Adiseshan win a hit-and-run case with ease and tells him he learnt so much from him. But after three months, he still doesn’t have a case and feels he has failed. This is when the hit-and-run case comes back to him and
TV reporter Jennifer (Aishwarya Rajesh) steps in to help him in the case. What if he files a PIL? What if he can find the witnesses? What if he can take on the mighty Adiseshan?

Udhayanithi- Having done a series of romantic comedy and an action. Prakash Raj and Hansika have delivered extreme levels of dedication into their characters. Asihwarya Rajesh is adequate as the investigative journalist. Vivekh as the hero’s uncle and a lawyer manages to raise a few guffaws here and there. Madhi's cinematography keeps the entire film colourful. Santhosh Narayanan music super. Ajayan Bala’s dialogues are sharp.
