Bench Talkies, a division of Karthik Subbaraj's Stone Bench Creations Pvt. Ltd is committed to bringing enthralling and compelling independent films and short films to the silver screen. The first edition of Bench Talkies, an anthology of six stories by six directors including Karthik Subbaraj had a limited release on March 6th, 2015 in Chennai, Coimbatore, Bangalore and San Francisco. Owing to the overwhelming response, the second edition of Bench Talkies titled AVIYAL is all set for worldwide theatrical release. Aviyal is an anthology of five fun-filled, entertaining stories written & directed by five directors - Shammeer Sultan, Mohit Mehra, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Guru Smaran & Alphonse Puthren, the director of Premam & Neram.

Sri Thendandal Films, the production house behind the massive release & success of films like Baahubali, Kanchana 2, Maya, Aranmanai, Demonte Colony, Pisasu and many more, is releasing AVIYAL in theatres across Tamil Nadu on March 11th, 2016. The film will have a simultaneous release in Kerala by Fourtune Footlights . The film will also be release in USA on March 11th,2016 

Ever since its inception, Stone Bench Creations, has been committed to identifying and promoting new talents and AVIYAL is no different. The film starring Bobby Simha, Nivin Pauly along with budding actors Deepak Paramesh, Arjunan & Sharath Kumar is introducing a bunch of talented newcomers - Amrutha Srinivasan, Rohit & Moses Rajkumar, to name a few. With music by Vishal Chandrashekhar (Jil Jung Juk), Rajesh Murugesan (Premam & Neram), Javed Riaz and Shameer Sultan, the film features a title track by the famous independent musician Raghu Dixit sung by Antony Dasan.
