Review : 

Miruthan action horror film directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan. The film stars Jayam Ravi and Lakshmi Menon in the leading roles. Kaali Venkat, R. N. R. Manohar, Jeeva Ravi, Baby Anikha, Amit Bhargav were seen in supporting roles. The music for the movie is composed by D. Imman. India's first zombie film in Tamil.

This is the story of Karthik(Jayam Ravi) a traffic cop. He excels in police training but chooses not to join the police force, as he wants to stay safe. He is also a doting brother to a little teenage sister, Vidya. Life is normal for Karthik and his buddy Malai, until one day the world literally goes crazy. A biohazard spill in an obscure factory unleashes a deadly plague among the people of Ooty, where Karthik resides. As our hero comes to grips with the unreal situation, he meets Renu, played by Lakshmi Menon.

Renu is a doctor who is trying with a team of other medical professionals to find a cure for this disease, which is turning people into cannibalistic freaks. But actually, Karthik and Renu share a little history. The doctor claims that the only way to get a cure is to go to the main hospital in Coimbatore where research can be conducted. Now, Karthik must take the doctors, his family and friends safely to the destination while fighting thousands of undead. The rest of the tale is about the near death experiences of our hero and his team with a little twist at the end.

Must appreciate Jayam Ravi for taking on the role of Karthik in this experimental film. Anikha is a very talented child actor and she does well yet again. Her role holds key significance towards the end. Imman scored tunes and songs good. Kaali Venkat has got another memorable movie to his career. RNR Manohar and Jeeva Ravi did justice to their roles. KJ Venkat Ramanan has done. A pretty good job with editing and S.Venkatesh has cranked the camera pretty well. Miruthan is a different attempt from director Shakti, Ravi and team.very good maiden effort in Kollywood and even in India to make a zombie film
