Review : 

Oru Naal Iravil is a Tamil thriller movie directed by Anthony and written by Yugi Sethu. The movie is an official remake if Joy Mathew’s 2012 film Shutter which was a huge hit in Malayalam. Oru Naal Iravil has Sathyaraj in the lead role and Varun, Anumol, Yugi Sethu and Kalyani Natarajan in important roles. The film is presented by A. L. Vijay and produced by A. L. Azhagappan and Sam Paul.

Sekar (Sathyaraj) is an NRI and he prefers to always travels in Suri’s(Varun) auto, who does all the errands to the former. Prejudging his daughter’s friendship, Sekar arranges for an immediate wedding, which eventually leads to heated arguments in the family. The same day night, Sekar drinks with his close friends at his unused small shop. Once all his friends decide to leave, Sekar insists that Suri get more booze from nearby black-market and on their return, they happen to see a call girl (Anu Mol). Sudden fickleness of Sekar leads to uninvited trouble as he gets locked inside his shop with the call girl and what follows is a series of events, which make him realize his mistakes and the climax unleashes a flimsy redemption of our protagonist!

Anthony has made a dream debut through ‘Oru Naal Iravil’. As the film is a remake, the editor turned director has tried to follow the footsteps and making style of Joy Mathew who made the original. Sathyaraj had shown a mind blowing performance in the movie. Anumol has done her part very well. Actor Varun as auto driver Suri has also done his part very well. M S Prabhu who handled the cinematography has succeeded in maintaining this mood. Navin’s music good. Overall Oru Naal Iravil super suspense thriller.
