Launch of CF Square Cycling Club

"CF Square" (Club for Cycling & Fitness) is a non-profit club formed by a group of passionate fitness enthusiasts. All the cyclists of the club CF Square Chennai are part of Joyriders. The Vision & Mission of this club is to promote the Cycling habit and other fitness related activity making life more fun, enjoyable and enhance physical and mental fitness.

The club is formed in association with Just Buy Cycles, a retail chain for all performance bicycles and allied products for all technical assistance. Many notable cyclists including athletes and celebrities are associated with the club.

Mr. Srinath Rajam, Patron, mentor, coach and passionate cyclist of the club is a British Cycling Association certified cycling coach and is the only Certified International Cycling Coach in India. He has worked with Peaks Coaching Group USA for 6 months and has trained as an athlete under Dan Henchy (PB Science) and Tim Cusick (PCG) for more than a year learning advanced concepts on Training and racing with power. Starting July Srinath will start phase 2 of advanced Power raining for coaches ONLY being conducted by Hunter Allen and Tim Cusick of PCG.

CF Square was launched on June 20^th at Just Buy Cycles by Actor Karthi, Mr. Srinath Rajam, Mr. Mahendran Mullath of Just Buy Cycles and Mr. Pravin Patil, MD & CEO , Starkenn Bikes Pvt Ltd.

Membership 

A member of the club gets advice on the following:

1)       Advice on nutrition for endurance, weight loss or strength gain.

2) For those who have cycled for more than 6 months getting fitter, faster, race strategy, training modules for specific events like road, circuit and TT.

3) Selecting the right equipment from bike fit, the bike, components, how to get aero and so on.

4) Juniors are our future. Riding with them, giving them special attentionin all aspects.

5) Novices...making sure they know the basics, ensuring bike comfort, teaching them injury prevention via muscle rebalancing and post ride stretching.

Speaking at the launched Mr. Mahendran Mullath of Just Buy Cycles said, “We at CF Square welcome & support new beginners in cycling & help them to reach their goal. Since the club is perfectly blended with fun-riders, Endurance-riders, Racers & Professional Bike Technicians, it is assured that a Good support & confidence will build for anyone who joins us to sit on the saddle & start pedalling with us. CF Square has regular weekend rides & several activities based on cycling. We change the route every now and then for every ride to have more fun & adventure.”

Club objectives: 

·         Support new beginners in cycling & help them to reach their goal.

·         Educate new cyclists about right way of cycling. 

·         Promote the habit of cycling & making the cycling community to grow.

·         Creating awareness on environmental issues & eco system conservation through cycling activities.

  

Vision: 

Vision & Mission of this club is to promote Cycling habit and other fitness related games making life more fun, enjoyable and to keep all those who involved as fit both physically & mentally. 

Action Plans for coming year:

·         Increasing the regular weekend cycling group members by making the ride more enjoyable through perfect route selection, dedicated support by CF Square club members & technical support from Just Buy Cycles.

·         Conducting a Big Endurance ride events once in two months where any number of participants can join & ride.

·         Conducting Theme based rides for creating awareness on environmental issues & conserving the eco systems.(like save water, save environment, etc)

·         Conducting Workshops on basic cycle maintenance.

·         Organizing Professional-expert presentations on perfect cycling techniques & Nutrition guides.

·         Bicycle rides for family and kids.

·         Introduce running and swimming along with cycling.

CF Square has support of bicycle major Giant Starkenn bicycles. Speaking at launch of CF Square club, Mr. Pravin V Patil, MD and CEO of Starkenn Sports Pvt. Professional Technicians of JUST BUY CYCLES Elite flood the club with lots of bike maintenance tips, inputs & latest advancements in technologies. The Club members are always curious in sharing their new findings & experiences with the fellow members of the club.

JUST BUY CYCLES has a professional team called Giant JBC riders who have won many rides at a speed of around 39 Kmph. Knowledge sharing from the professional teams also help the club members.
