Review :

Mahabalipuram written and directed by Don Sandy. The film features an ensemble cast including Karunakaran, Vinayak, Ramesh Thilak,Karthik Sabesh, Vetri, Vithika Sheru and Angana Roy in the leading roles, while K composes the film's music. The film produced by Vinayak

The first half starts five friends in Mahabalipuram.  Kumar (Karunakaran), Sathish (Vetri), Saamy (Karthik Sabesh), Panja (Vinayak), and Kuppan (Ramesh Thilak). Five friends make their living by working as guides to foreigners in the famous tourist spot of  Mahabalipuram.Satish gets married to his girlfriend Sangeetha (played by Angana Roy). Life goes on smoothly.

One day Panja too falling in love with Mahalakshmi (played by Virthika) a college student who moves into the area. One day, the friends in their boozing session stumble upon a video which shows Sangeetha with another guy. Who is this another guy? What happens after then and why Panja is in jail. What happens to Sangeetha and Satish and what happens to the four friends? What happens to Panja and Mahalakshmi love? go and watch Mahabalipuram. Mahabalipuram is full of entertainment and an engaging affair.

Don Sandy, the debutant director has excellently handled the story.Vinayak has done well performance.Karunakaran,Vetri,Karthik Sabesh and Ramesh Thilak performance ok. Cinematography by Chandran Pattuswamy is comparatively of low standards. Editing by Kim Aam The only saving grace in the technical department. Music Director K, whose background score makes an ordinary narration look compelling at parts.
