Chennai Idea Cellular Employees Engage in a Beach Clean-up Drive

Keeping in line with its core focus of highlighting social issues, over 100 Idea Cellular employees engaged in clean up drive at the Thiruvanmiyur beach in order to make it a better and safe place for the Mother Olive Ridley Turtles to lay eggs.

This is the season where the Mother Olive Ridley Turtles come along the coastal line of Chennai to lay eggs. Some of them during the process of laying eggs end up eating the trash on the shore side and eventually die.

We as a team have gathered today to lend a hand in this clean up drive as Chennai Coastline is a large nesting ground for the Mother Olive Ridley Turtles.
