Director Robert S Raj about 'Kalam'

Kalam the movie is produced by P.K Chandran for Arul Movies. Debutant Robert S Raj is the director of the film. Subish.K. Chandran has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. Mukesh rolls the camera , Prabhakar handling the editing with Prakash Nikki looking after the music for the movie.

The script has six major characters with a house as its background. Shrinivasan N.L of 'Vennila kabadi Kuzhu', Lakshmi Priya of 'suttakathai', 'Goli soda' fame Madhusudhanan rao, SS Music Pooja, Hamzad and kani playing as vital characters in the film.

Debutant director Robert S Raj ,who had associated Director  Jeeva shankar in 'Naan' shares a few points about the film  "The film could be called as a kind of suspense thriller with unusual pattern of screenplay. The whole crew worked day and night to complete the film in a short span of time with competitive quality. The film was mainly shot in and around Chennai. The film will definitely be a different experience for the audience. Prakash Nikki have given us two wonderful tracks which will be canned in next month", said Robert.

Story , Screenplay and dialogues are  penned by Subish K Chandran . "I have written the script approaching from the audience point of view. The script doesn't fall in a specific genre as such. It would be penny worth for the audience who throng the theatre",said Subish. 'It was a pleasure to see  the director deliver what was in the basic script.

"It was a challenging script to work. The major part of the film shot in interior of a house. To frame the varieties inside the same house we worked along with art department. The film will surely be a visual treat for the audience",said Mukesh, the director of photography who many admire and predict as  the next gen cameraman. 

Shrinivasan NL, one of the main characters said that this film journey was so enjoyable and learning to him. This would be definitely a path breaking film in his career.

Lakshmi Priya, actress of 'Sutta Kadhai' lauded the team for being supportive and encouragement to her in the film. "We are so sure that this film will entertain audience", She signed off.
