India’s longest Photo Cake this year is to celebrate the legendary Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu's contribution to cinema
The French Loaf bakery chain created the longest photo cake in the country at Vijaya Forum Mall, as part of the Joy of Giving Week to support Chennai based NGOs DEAN Foundation, Eureka Child Foundation and NalandaWay foundation. The chief guest to this gala event was Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu and his son Madhan Karky. Other renowned personalities also turned out to support this noble cause.
The one of its kind eggless photo cake weighed 1000 kilograms, covered with 1000 photographs of Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu depicting his flourishing film career spanning over three decades. A team of 15 chefs from The French Loaf engaged in the baking and assembling process to create the massive cake.
The proceeds of the sales from the photo cake went to DEAN Foundation, Eureka Child foundation and NalandaWay foundation. DEAN Foundation takes care of those with life threatening, chronic, progressive and terminal diseases with special emphasis on the poor and the marginalized. Eureka Child Foundation aims at providing high quality education inputs to children from poorest families in villages and to ensure every child achieves basic competencies in Language, Math, Science, etc.
