Review :

Produced by Studio Green, Madras is director Pa Ranjith’s second film after his super hit debut film
Attakathi. Madras stars Karthi and Catherine Tresa in lead roles and music has been scored by Santhosh Narayanan. G.Murali has handled the cinematography and Praveen K.L has edited the film.

Madras is basically a story about Kaali, who wants to live a happy life gets into an unexpected situation because of his love towards his close friend Anbu. If you look Madras as a one line story, then it is nothing but a regular revenge drama but what makes it unique is its authentic portrayal of North Madras people's life style.

Pa. Ranjith has packed the film with four major elements of North Madras viz., touching friendship, dirty politics, novel romance and earthy atmosphere. Madras is a mix of many emotions. There is love, hate, anger, sadness and peace. Pa Ranjith’s narration is brilliant and his portrayal of north madras with a bit of  all emotions strikes a chord with the audiences.

Technically Madras is super strong with solid BGM by Santhosh Narayan, brilliant cinematography by Murali and excellent editing by Praveen KL. Karthi has done a fabulous job. Catherine Teresa have presented a very good performance.Overall Madras is an excellent comeback film for Karthi.

Verdict : Madras Mixed Treat For Audience.

Rating  : 3/5
