Frizz Da Saloon Launch News
Frizz Da Salon in 2011 entered the Limca Book of World Records by attempting a feat never tried before. The stylists of Frizz Da Salon gave 100 unique and different makeovers to a single model (Actress Chandini) in a period of 10 and a half hour. This included a complete makeover of hairstyle, facial makeup and even costumes. In this period of time, we also captured photos of the 100 makeovers with a different background, theme and settings.
Radio Mirchi also gave an exclusive coverage of Frizz Da Salon's initiative Can Cut Can Help as a feature on the World Cancer Day and how it is helping touch the lives of people by just donating a few inches of your hair.
Starting from February 4 2014, World Cancer Day, Frizz Da Salon wanted to make a difference in their own little way to the lives of the women and children suffering from Cancer.
We all take our hair for granted till we lose it. Imagine the trauma if losing all your hair when cancer strikes. The loss of self esteem and confidence can make a person reclusive, withdrawn and depressed. All of these are dangerous emotions when battling with the Emperor of Diseases.
A routine Hair Cut could help reach out to those people who need to get back into society. ‘Can Cut Can Help’ seeks precisely to do this , calling out to those who understand the trauma .We have been collecting hair (3 inches and more) as donations from various people who visit the salon and affiliate salons.
These collected hairs were later given to professional wigmakers in exchange for wigs. These wigs will be donated to needy cancer patient who are suffering from temporary hair loss during the cancer treatment. These wigs will give them the confidence to walk back into the society and continue the lifestyle they were living earlier.
Can Cut Can Help was started to make a difference in the lives of women and children suffering from cancer by creating and donating wigs made from donated hair. Hair has become such an integral part of how we feel about ourselves. When cancer patients lose their hair, they are affected psychologically as well. They think twice about going out and being in the public. But of course, we are sure that they are going to pull out of cancer successfully and the hair will grow back. But for the time in between, the wigs that we donate will infuse them with the confidence to go back into the society, go to work, go meet people who matters.
On September 3rd, 10:30 A.M, on the occasion of re-launch of Frizz Da Salon and academy, wigs will be donated to cancer patients who lost their hair during the treatment. Models will walk the ramp adorning dresses made of hair - If hair can be worn as a dress why not as a wig!
