Review :

 A successful director, producer and an actor, he is back with Aranmanai. The film an ensemble cast including Hansika Motwani, Vinay Rai, Andrea Jeremiah, Lakshmi Rai, Nithin Sathya, Santhanam, Kovai Sarala, Manobala and Sundar C. himself.  The current trend in kollywood is to make horror comedies.

The story is about a large family that wants to sell  an Aranmanai. The supernatural elements they discover in the Aranmanai lead to some scary moments. The interval block proves that there is a ghost in the house. And post interval in a flashback it is revealed that a spirit is seeking revenge against the villains who ruined her life.

Director Sundar C has done a very positive role in this film and he carries off the role perfectly with his subtle acting. His screenplay has a mix of his signature comedy and gripping scenes which makes sure it entertains us throughout. Vinay and the main roles of the film Andreah, Hansika and Rai Laxmi are as bubbly as ever.

Santhanam and team comedy performance super. Kovai Sarala and Manobala antics make you laugh. The music and cinematography compliment the engaging screenplay. The four songs are speed breakers and the second half the tempo slackens. Overall Aranmanai is a time pass entertainer, which makes you laugh more than making you scared.
