About the Film:

Brasil is a Tamil film inspired by a true story about boys in their early teens, leading their lives under the bridge of the bustling metro. They have nothing to lose except a football and posters of Brazilian football player Ronaldinho. They never thought that football is going to take them to places where they never imagined, with the help of three antagonists. This story is also about three antagonists from 80’s, 90’s and 2000 and portrays a poignant story through their flashbacks. In a nutshell Brasil

is a racy entertainer full of struggle, chase, music, action, adventure, love and redemption. Brasil is the first film of the ‘FOOTBALL TRILOGY’ from filmmaker Amjath.

About the film Title Promo Song:

Brasil introduces fresh talents from various walks of life. Music director Guruprasad is from the IT industry. Bhavna Balakrishnan is a VJ, RJ for Star Vijay Super Singers and 104.8FM respectively is lending her voice for Brasil title promo song.  Brazil title promo song is also a football theme song because the film title concept, football, Brasil_the country that plays the host for the world up football 2014 and the story of the film is all conceptually connected. Mr.Selva Kumar of Audio Media Education India Pvt Ltd had extended his support in the making of Brasil Title promo song.

About the Production House:

Brasil is the debut feature film venture of Meeran Theatres. Launched in 2002 by K.S.Amjath Meeran, it has produced three short films under the name ‘Meeran Amateur Theatres’. Till today all the films were rated the first of its genre and the most expensive training films of the country. The first film ‘ADAYALAM’ introduced a new genre ‘short feature film’ has become a wave today. Produced two short film festivals in 2003 and 2006 in association with FTII-Pune [film and television institute of India] and friends. Both film festivals_ SHOOL and SIX SHORTS were a huge hit not only among the film and media students but also among television channels and other media.

Omar has assisted Cinematographer S.R.Kathiir in the film Subramaniyapuram. He passed out from L.V.Prasad Film & TV Academy, Chennai. Trained under India’s one of the leading Cinematographer Mr.Sunny Joseph. Worked in various short film projects with Academy Award Nominee Mr.Peter Benzeck, Czech Cinematographer. Done short films and promo films with director Amjath. Currently working as a cinematographer in two feature films. Omar is also a co-script writer for Brazil and penned lyrics.

Co-scriptwriter: Vijaya Raghavan

Vijaya Raghavan works as an assistant to Director Ram, who is the director of the critically acclaimed “Katradhu Thamizh” and multiple National Awards winning “Thangameengal.” Currently assisting Ram’s “Tharamani.” He has directed the short film “Suvar,” which was selected among the best 5 in the 7th Annual Vijay Awards short film category. Has attended Kamal Hassan’s “First International Screenwriting Workshop.”

Some of the prominent works are Aval, Meenakshi, Pirivom Santhipom, Saravanan Meenatchi etc.,

Jeffery Vardon, a name unanimous with dance has choreographed numerous stage productions, the choreographer who moved from classical ballet, to ballroom and Latin sals is also a fitness consultant and the most wanted aerobics instructor. Jeffery has also choreographed for Kamal Haasan’s Alavandhan, Rajinikanths Valli and lately played a role in Simbu starring film Poda Podi as Mojo and choreographed for the film
