Kareena Kapoor calrifies on comment about Suriya

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor who allegedly said she does not know who Suriya is and created a stir in media circles has clarified that she indeed respects Suriya and his hard work tremendously.

Kareena has said, ""It is a fact that I've never met him! But that doesn't mean I don't know who Suriya is. Of course I know him. He's a big star in Tamil cinema, in fact one of the biggest. And I truly respect his standing in the Indian film industry. In fact I'm doing the sequel to 'Singham' the film where he played the lead originally in Tamil cinema."

However, she has backtracked now and has said during an interaction with the press, her comment was distorted by the media. Stating that she is well aware that Suriya is one of the top ranking stars in the South Indian film industry, Kareena said that all she meant was that she did not know him personally.
