Highlights: 
The 19th European Film Festival is scheduled in Chennai from 02 to 11 April 2014
The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Voices of Youth’ and the festival will screen 19 Award winning movies from 19 European countries
All films will be screened in national languages of member States of the European Union, with English subtitles
The festival is presented in Chennai by the Delegation of the European Union, New Delhi; Alliance Francaise of Madras; Goethe Institut, Chennai; British Council, Chennai and Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF)
Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF) has been organising the EUFF in Chennai for the last 7 years since 2008
The venues for the European Film Festival in Chennai are Alliance Francaise (from 02 to 06 April) and the Goethe Institut  (from 07 to 11 April)

Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation, along with its cultural partners, invites you to the 19th European Film Festival in Chennai. A handpicked collection of 19 Award-winning movies showcasing different stories of youth will be screened over 10 days! It's a collection of dreams and passion, fear and frustration, fun and joy, mistakes and recognition - for both the young and not-so-young. Better than anything, all films portray Europe's fascinating diversity and its rich cinema tradition.
The Festival will be inaugurated on 02 April at 6:00 pm at Alliance Francaise of Madras by His Excellency Dr Janos Terenyi,  Ambassador of the Hungarian Embassy, New Delhi in the august presence of Mr Benoit Olivier, Director of Alliance Francaise of Madras; Mr Karl Pechatscheck, Director of Goethe Institut, Chennai; Ms Nirupa Fernandez, Assistant Director, British Council, Chennai,  Mr Sivan Kannan, President, ICAF and Mr B Ramakrishnan, Vice President, ICAF. The inauguration will be followed by the opening film ‘Fresh Air’ from Hungary.
All films will be screened in original languages of member states of the European Union, with English subtitles. Among them there are languages like Hungarian, Irish, Danish and Lithuanian to name a few. The Festival will travel from February until July 2014 from New Delhi, to Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Jodhpur, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Kolkata.

About ICAF:
Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF) is an active registered Film Society in Chennai. The main objective of the ICAF is to promote good world cinema among film buffs in Chennai.  ICAF has got about 600 members and organizes two or three film festivals every month in collaboration with the Embassies/Consulates of various countries. ICAF also have a well stocked Library of DVDs and books on films for the benefit of members.
Besides monthly programmes, ICAF organizes the Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) every December since 2003.  CIFF is supported by the Govt. of India, (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting) New Delhi., the Govt. of Tamil Nadu and the Film Fraternity. The 11th CIFF from 12 to 19 December 2013 screened 165 films from 58 countries across 8 venues in Chennai.
