The Surreal Short Film Photos and Press Release

The Surreal is a 24-minute Tamil short film, which has been written and directed by Vijay Jayapal.

The film is to be sent to the Cannes Film Festival 2014 as part of the Short Film Corner. This festival is scheduled to be held in May 2014.

The film has been directed by Vijay Jayapal, a HR professional turned aspiring filmmaker, who had quit his job a few months back to pursue his passion.

The Surreal is his second short film; He had already made a short film last year, which he claims to be his first attempt at knowing the basics of filmmaking.

The film’s cinematography has been done by Vanchinathan, a former associate of ace cameraman Ravi K Chandran and music has been composed by Shamanth, whose earlier credits include a Tamil and a Telugu feature film.
