NourishCo organizes a workshop in Chennai to spread awareness about hydration and immunity building
  • Tata Water Plus - India’s first nutrient water - contains zinc that is an essential micronutrient
  • Zinc is known to help strengthen the immune system

Chennai, 30 August, 2013NourishCo, the 50:50 JV between Tata Global Beverages Limited and PepsiCo India Holdings Private Limited organized a special workshop to address the issue of hydration and ways to improve overall health and immunity. Chairing the workshop was leading nutritionist and fitness consultant, Ms. Venu Adhiya Hirani who spoke about the need to remain hydrated and strengthen immunity.

The workshop focussed on the need to strengthen immunity while ensuring intake of essential nutrients to help the body stay fitter and healthier. Tropical weather conditions give rise to the need for increased water consumption to keep up the hydration levels in the body. With changes in lifestyle, health-conscious consumers are increasingly looking for products with additional benefits and nutritional value that offers significant health benefits.

The workshop also highlighted how NourishCo’s products - Tata Water Plus (TWP) and Tata Gluco Plus (TGP) are endowed with the goodness of nutrients and minerals respectively. Ms. Hirani talked about how Tata Water Plus owing to it being the first nutrient brand in India offers the goodness of zinc and copper. She further discussed how Zinc helps strengthen immune system. Ms. Hirani also highlighted how thirst can be viewed as an opportunity to consume nutrients with water; making it a convenient and easy habit.

Talking at the workshop, Ms. Venu Adhiya Hirani, nutritionist and fitness consultant said, “Our body is constantly losing water and it is a challenge to keep ourselves hydrated as our thirst mechanism has a lag time. Once we are thirsty, our body reaches the point of moderate dehydration and it becomes more difficult to replenish the fluids. It is therefore very important to ensure that we intake water-based beverages that provide nutrient value along with the goodness of water. Tata Water Plus (TWP) has the goodness of Zinc and Copper and keeps the body hydrated. Zinc is known to help strengthen immune system and copper supports body functions.”

Says Mr. Arvind ShuklaVice President and Head - Marketing & Innovation, NourishCo Beverages Ltd., “NourishCo is keenly focused on enhancing the hydration category in India. We constantly strive to educate and help consumers in providing them with healthier options. With this workshop, we aim to spread awareness amongst people about the need to stay healthy and hydrated. To withstand changing weather conditions and keeping up the hydration levels, it is essential for people to strive to strengthen their immunity. Tata Water Plus (TWP), India’s first nutrient water, is fortified with zinc and copper. Zinc helps strengthen immune system and copper helps support body functions. Hence TWP does more than quench your thirst; regular consumption adds to your nutrient uptake.”
