Director
Sasi’s fifth outing Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu (555) stars Bharath and Mruthika in
lead roles besides Santhanam and Erica Fernandez playing supporting roles. Simon
has composed the music and cinematography has been handled by Saravanan
Abhimanyu.
Story :
Bharath
plays the role of a youngster Aravind, who lives with his brother Gopal
(Santhanam). Aravind is a patient who is recovering from a tragic accident which
has affected his memories. On his recovery, his psychiatrist and his brother
inform him that there is no one called Liyana, whom he believes to be his
girlfriend.
Unconvinced
with his brother’s talks, Aravind tries to get some proof that his girlfriend
had really existed and somehow he succeeds in his attempt. His progress in
finding the traces of his lost girlfriend results in the killing of his brother
and how he solves the rest of the mysteries surrounding him, forms the rest of
the story.
Review :
Love
specialist Sasi has woven Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu as a love story sandwiched between
action and thrill.Sasi’s regular features like the guy getting crazy over his
love and being very sincere in his love are all part of 555 too. It is the
screenplay which has let the film down and uninteresting at times. The love
sequences are too silly andare dragging.
However,
the first half ends with a thrilling twist which is much similar to what we
have seen in Vishal’s Samar. After the interval block, the story reveals
something different to us which accelerates the screenplay’s pace. Though the
new puzzles interest us, once after the revelation of the knots, the story
loses interest and what we have left to witness is just the hero’s action
sequences.
Bharath
emerges as the standout performeramong the lot. Be it his muscular looks with
the hard earned six-pack abs or charming lover boy looks, Bharath has given his
best.
Actress
Mruthika’s looks are good, but her poor ground work for the lip synch lets her
acting down. Erica Fernandez has played her part well.
Santhanam,
for the first time has played hero’s brother in 555. His humor with Bharath,
Swaminathan and Mano Bala has not worked out well except a couple of scenes.Santhanam’s
performance is better in emotional scenes in which he cares for his brother’s wellbeing.
Saravanan
Abhimanyu’s cinematography can be felt well in the action sequences. Saravanan’slens
work, combined with editor Subarak’s work, has rendered great visuals in the
song ‘Vizhiyiley Vizhiyiley’. This track sung by Haricharan and Chinmayi along
with the Blazze’s rap is the best track composed by Simon. The much hyped Elavu
song is nothing worth mentioning.
Verdict : 555 is an Bharath’s sincere effort
Rating : 3 / 5
