Chennai, April 17, 2013: A Dynamic professional, an entrepreneur, a thought provoking leader and an electrifying speaker, Dr R Durgadoss (DR DD) today came up with his second book a fiction in the historical/mythological genre. ‘The Shackles of The Warrior’. The book was launched at hotel Taj Coromandel, Nugambakkam, Chennai.

‘The Shackles of the Warrior’ reveals the secrets of the dead brain, which goes back to trace his origin of early birth and lands at 3100 BC. It describes the scientific journey of a man who accomplished a great mission at NASA viz, negating the impact of the cyber war, waged by the cyber terrorists by planting virus from the satellite above the earth.

Ms Suhasini Maniratnam, Actor, Director and Writer released the book. Mr R Natraj, IPS, Rtd. Former DGP, Tamil Nadu and Mr Rajiv Bhatia, Group MD – House of ST Bhatia, UAE and other well renowned celebrities from the literary and the corporate world attended and celebrated the book launch.

Speaking on the occasion “For the prisoners the lock is inside the prison, for many of us the lock is inside our house. Yes the Shackles of the Society, Poverty and Destiny haunted the hero; finally he triumphs against all odds. From below the ground comes Diamond, from the mud comes the Lotus. The greatness can come from anyone. Mother’s womb should not determine one’s destiny.” said Dr Durgadoss.

The book is about a warrior who battles a curse that chases him through his every subsequent incarnation, an ordinary man who creates extraordinary wonders. This is not the shackles of the society, not the shackles of the castes, not the shackles of poverty, but all combined into one ‘The shackles of the warrior’.

Despite the reflective nature of the subjects like science, skills and supremacy being discussed in the narrative, the author’s work makes a fascinating read. The author has adopted a novel approach by creatively linking a Cyber Warrior of the modern era with a Chariot Warrior of the ancient era. The Cyber Warrior in the story is the Scientist of a NASA; his persona holds universal appeal, while the Chariot Warrior was the greatest of all warriors whose bravery lingered in the minds of the people beyond generations.

Millions of aspiring youths go into depression when results do not align with their expectations. This electrifying tale does not answer, but attempts to awaken you, whenever deviations from results upset you.

Though the presentation in the book takes the form of a fictional narrative, it replicates about friendship and unity, powers, and a great journey through the world’s greatest battle.

In the book, Dr DD entwines the theme of bravery, history and societal stigma. A felicitation function was held at Taj Mahal Palace hotel, Mumbai for Shiv’s brave achievements. The story revolves around this plot….

A terrorist group strikes the world by planting viruses into global computer systems from a satellite orbiting the earth. This act of cyber terrorism disrupts air traffic systems, interferes with the control system for water and electricity, blocks commercial communications, crashes various network systems, gains access to secret military information and defaces various websites. In light of this cyber attack, the world is facing a chaotic situation.  Shiv, a young, celebrated NASA scientist destroys their moves and saves the earth from cyber attacks. To honor Shiv’s extraordinarily brave performance, a felicitation function was held at Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Mumbai on the fateful day of 26^th November 2008. Shiv, the cyber warrior, becomes a victim to a physical terrorist attack at the Taj Hotel. His mind flashed several images in a state of coma, in the ICU of a leading Hospital in Mumbai.

The images of war, weapons and weeping widows flashed in his mind. What has he, the famous NASA scientist to do with a warrior of the 3100 BC era? The secrets buried in the silent chambers of his soul are unraveled ……….

‘The Shackles of The Warrior’ will be available at all leading bookstores across India. The book is available at all leading book stores as well as on e-shopping sites.  The book is published by Palm Tree Books.

As a sequel to this book, Dr DD is also in the process of authoring a third work of fiction, a thriller Karmic journey titled – The Indus Challenge_.

This will be a continuation of the Karmic Journey of the Warrior and his wife. Where will they meet in their next outing and much more can be seen from his referred next book, which goes back to the era of 300BC.
