Celebrates the opening of its first store in the city with a launch party at their newly opened Harrington Road outlet.

  

Chennai, 29^th March 2013: UK based Costa Coffee, world’s second largest coffee chain has just opened its first store in Chennai at Harrington Road. Costa Coffee was the first international coffee chain to enter India in 2005 and has since established new benchmarks in coffee retailing in the country. Costa has created a distinct image for itself with its international quality coffee and food, friendly and efficient service and stylish and relaxing surroundings. The growing coffee culture in India has meant that customers have become more discerning and are moving up the value chain. Costa is fast becoming the coffee house of choice for such consumers who have international exposure and demand a contemporary, global feel to their experience.

Costa celebrated its entry into Chennai with a Party at newly opened Harrington Road store. Costa’s Managing Director, International Markets, Andy Marshall and Costa Coffee India CEO, Santhosh Unni  were present to celebrate along with select guests comprising prominent Chennaities. The evening had local band Overtone, playing some really cool cover numbers that set the mood for the evening. Guests were introduced to Costa’s impressive array of beverages and food and coffee and conversation ruled at the brand new Harrington Road Costa Coffee outlet launch party. Guests were seen admiring the cool, hip interiors of the first Costa store in town.

Actors Uday Kiran and Regina helped Andy Marshall cut a special cake dedicated to Chennai launch.
