Aadhi Bhagavan Movie Review and Rating
Storyline :
Jayam Ravi plays a dual role as both Aadhi
and Bhagavan. While Aadhi is a gangster who lives a luxurious life in Bangkok
making fat money out of drug dealing and thefts, Bhagavan is a transgender who
rules Mumbai and is the most wanted rowdy.
Rani, played by Neetu Chandra, is the
girlfriend of Bhagavan and also serves as his personal advisor. To save
Bhagavan from Mumbi police, Rani tries to swap Aadhi in the place of Bhagavan,
so that herself and Bhagavn could flee to Bangkok. So, Rani’s plans to get
Aadhi into her trap and what Aadhi does after realizing it forms the rest of
the story.
Review:
The film is watched by most of them for the
name of the director who, in the past, has delivered cinema with some quality
content and high technical standards. So, has Ameer lived up to this
expectations ? and we would say its hmmmm……. yes, but only to some extent.
His plot is interesting but the making in
which the director mesmerizes the audience has fallen flat. Why Bhagavan, who is
shown as a trans gender, is showing interest in women, is one good question to
ask.
Neetu Chandra has played a crucial role in
linking up the two characters played by Jayam Ravi, butshe has been used only
as a tool. More weightage to her character could have made the story look
better.
Jayam Ravi’s performance as a high profile
gangster and as a effeminate male surely deserves applause.
Verdict: Ameer’s idea of venturing into
commercial cinema has paid off for Ravi and Neetu Chandra.
