Mirattal Movie Review and Rating
The movie of the story is threaded between the rivalry of two local gangs, each one one headed by Soori (played by Pradeep Rawat) and Shankar Dada (played by Prabhu). The rivalry between the gangs intensifies when Shankar Dada kills Soori's brother for a revenge of his close assistant's death. Soori in turn decides to kill Prabhu's younger sister Deepika (played by Sharmila).
Meanwhile, Bablo (played by Vinay Rai) is a carefree guy who loves to be with friends. Bablo's father, (played by Pandiyarajan) seeks him a job as an account to Shankar Dada. Vinay, who works there as Santhanam's assistant falls in love with Deepika. Love develops between them and they both decided to get married.
Bablo plans for a secret marriage in a temple. Soori's gang manage to smell the plan and try to kill Deepika in the temple, during which Bablo saves her. Prabhu, who arrives at the scene takes custody of his sister. Both Bablo and Deepika hide their marriage to Shankar Dada. The rest of the story holds results for the questions of Soori's rivalry and Bablo-Deepika's secret marriage.
Review :
The film which is said to be a remake of Manchu Manoj and Genelia starrer 'Dhee' Telugu film has masala as its only plus point. The film's story and screenplay is doesn't hold any logic like all the other regular commercial films.
Pradeep Rawat and Prabhu fit aptly in their roles as both the veterans have immense experience playing these kind of roles earlier.
As usual, Santhanam has scored well with his punch dialogues and one liners. After a long gap, we get to see Ganja Karuppu as a better comedian with the combination of Santhanam.
Both the lead stars Vinay Rai and Sharmila have got no scope for performers, rather have been used as the leads only for their good looks.
Among the tracks list, 'Radio Radio' song sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Suchitra is quite appealing while the other tracks fail to stick on to us even a bit.
