Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Maha Yagnam at Kancheepuram

For the purpose of world peace and prosperity and as per the wishes of Jagadguru Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and Jagadguru Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Petam, Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Maha Yagnam is being performed from July 13. It will go on till July 22 at Vasantha Mandapam, Sri Kamakshi Amman Temple at Kancheepuram.

As per the holy words of His Holiness Sri Chandrasekarendra Saraswathi Mahaswamigal, "Give up aggression on others which is wrong. Our Mother Earth is ready to give us all we desired. We have the Lord, our Father, compassionate to all."

Hence, it becomes essential for the mankind to thank and hail the Almighty by conducting spiritual events like Sri Lalitha Sahasranama Maha Yagnam. 

The Yagnam got an auspicious start with Kalasa Stapanam and Anugnai Mahasankalpam on Friday. Till July 21, Lalitha Sahasranama Parayanam, Lalitha Sahasranama Homam, Kanya Pooja, Vaduga Pooja, Suvasini Pooja, Kadagamala, Trisakthi Archana, Deeparadanai and Mandhra Pushpam will be performed.

On Sunday July 22, in addition to regular rituals, 108 Ghow Pooja, Gaja Pooja, 108 Kanya Pooja, 108 Vaduga Pooja, 108 Kaduga Pooja and 1008 Suvasini Pooja will be performed with the participation of large number of devotees, especially women.

Arrangements for the Yagnam are being made by Sthaneegam C R Nataraja Sastry, Sri Kamakshi Ambal Devasthana Heriditary Mirasdar, Sri Kamakshi Ambal Devastanam, Kancheepuram.
